From Schiphol airport to Amsterdam center & Central station
The majority of the visitors that come to live and breath the wonders of Amsterdam, arrive at the Schiphol Airport, From there, you can take some simple steps to reach to the center or Amsterdam Central Station.
By train to Amsterdam Central station
If you want to go from the airport to Amsterdam’s Centraal train station, there are frequent direct trains (Intercity Direct) from the airport or other with just a few stops.
There are trains usually every 10 minutes (Always check schedule), the trip takes around around 17 to 30 minutes.

DAM SQUARE - CENTER
Dam Square located right in the center is a starting point for every tourist, It was created in the 13th century when a dam was built around the river Amstel to prevent the Zuiderzee sea from flooding the city From there, you can make a tour to the Royal Palace, opt-in for a cruise through the canals, visit the Madame Tussauds museum of simply shop at the De Bijenkorf

Amsterdam Zuid (South)
If you are staying near Amsterdam Zuid (South) or more south, south-east, you can take the train and from there you have available the tram or metro.
Some trains like “INTERCITY – Utrecht Centraal”, “INTERCITY – Eindhoven” or “SPRINTER – Diemen Zuid” will take you to Amsterdam Zuid.
The tickets can be purchased before the escalators to the train platform in the yellow machines, you can use coins or credit/debit card.

The Vondelpark is a public urban park of 47 hectares in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is part of the borough of Amsterdam-Zuid and situated west from the Leidseplein and the Museumplein. The park was opened in 1865 and originally named the “Nieuwe Park”, but later renamed to “Vondelpark”, after the 17th-century playwright and poet Joost van den Vondel. Yearly, the park has around 10 million visitors. In the park is an open-air theatre, a playground and several horeca facilities. This park is also ner Leidseplein, one of the most active areas for restaurants and bars.

By taxi, uber or shuttle
If you are staying in a Hotel, some of them offer a complimentary shuttle service. Always check your hotel’s website for more information or contact the hotel in advance.
The shuttle’s bus stop is located around the shuttle platform A9 – A13, just outside of the arrivals hall to the right.
The Schiphol Hotel Shuttle can drop you at virtually every hotel in Amsterdam. Shuttles depart from Arrival Hall 4. Simply follow the Amsterdam Shuttle Desk signs.

Other options, which are more expensive, although also more comfortable, are taking a taxi or an Uber. These options are faster way to get to the destination. Uber is slightly cheaper than taxi costing around 25€ to 45€.
