Coffeehouses in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Delft, The Hague, Utrecht, Groningen and Leiden. Since 1996.
The very first Coffeecompany opened its doors in 1996. The CC Leidsestraat 60 was born from KoffieDicks love for coffee and Ricks love for the 'biggest adsritual' he encountered in New York and London. In the following years, Coffeecompany conquered Amsterdam with locations such as Helst, Haarlemmerdijk, Doelenstraat and Beethovenstraat. Coffeecompany seduced a new generation of coffee fans with the versatility of coffee in a relaxed environment. There are now 37 branches in Amsterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Groningen, Leiden, Rotterdam and Delft, and a branding/tasting room in Amsterdam. Each with a unique place in the neighborhood. There are regular performances, and there is room on the wall for local designers and artists.
With Coffeecompany, Dick was able to give substance to his personal conviction that coffee beans are far too much tossed up and treated as an anonymous commodity on the futures market. Through direct contact with coffee farmers and paying prices that are related to quality, Coffeecompany can have unique coffee according to its own recipe.
With specially built espresso machines and an extensive barista training in the coffee warehouse in Amsterdam, making coffee at Coffeecompany is another craft. Since 1998, the CC Barista Cup has been taking place every year, where all baristas, grinding, teasing, foaming and latte-performing, compete for the main prizes. Baristas are also regularly found at the national level in the finals of the Barista Championship, NK Latte art and other competitions.
Continuous search for the tastiest coffees in the countries of origin, the further development of knowledge in the field of roasting and the final brewing is what Coffeecompany does to help as many people as possible get better coffee.
Coffeecompany became the property of JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS in December 2011. Since then it has remained an independently operating company and the passion for, and knowledge about coffee is shared back and forth.
