Argentina is located in the south point of South America. From this country Restaurant, Al Argentino imports the beautiful healthy beef that is bred under the strict jurisdiction of the Ministero de Agriculture.
The Argentine livestock consists mainly Aberdeen Angus and Hereford cattle, two real beef breeds. The cattle run freely in the vast pampas and indulges in the abundant, lush grass.
Restaurant Al Argentino is at the Zeedijk in the center of Amsterdam, about 2 minutes walking from Central Station.
The Argentine kitchen
In the Cosina (Argentine kitchen) the parilleros (cooks) are the masters of preparing food on the parillada (charcoal grill). The Argentine kitchen mostly prepares the following parts of the Novillo (ox); Bife de Cuadril, a firm but tender steak. Bife Angosto, sirloine steak. Bife de Loma, tenderloin steak. Bife Ancho, ribeye.
By grilling the beef with only some salt and chimmichurrie (grill oil), the natural flavor is completely preserved.
