Stork is located in an old industrial warehouse on the business park of De Overkant, the former Stork site, on the Northern IJ banks. The restaurant has more than 150 seats and the café more than 100. In the summer months, there is a huge south-facing terrace, located directly on the IJ.
FISH & SEASON FOUNDATION
Stork is affiliated with the Fish & Season Foundation, making it the first fish restaurant with this partnership.
We strive, supported by the partner program of the Fish & Season Foundation, to increase the proportion of sustainably responsible fish caught in the right season.
The Fish & Season Foundation's starting point is that ideal fishing and therefore eating seasons must be followed and the spawning seasons respected. In this way, a contribution can be made to the conservation of the fish stocks and the quality of the fish is optimal. In addition, in order to be able to speak of sustainably responsible fish, attention is also paid to population, management and fishing or breeding techniques.
THE MSC QUALITY MARK
Fish with the MSC (Marine-Sewardship Council) label comes from a fishery that is independently certified to the MSC standard through well-managed and sustainable fisheries. For more information, visit www.msc.org/nl .
