This is a private day trip, with the main wine tasting of the region and boat trip through the largest lake in Europe, the Alqueva. We can also visit the historic cities of Monsaraz and Évora, situated in the Alentejo plain.
Departure from Lisbon towards Monsaraz, stopping at a local wine cellar for wine and cheese tasting. Then we will go to the medieval town of Monsaraz, a village with narrow streets and alleys characteristic of a medieval town, and its whitewashed houses. It was occupied by the Moors and from 1232 became part of the kingdom of Portugal.
Then we will take a boat trip on the largest artificial lake in Europe, located between Portugal and Spain. It has about 1160 km of coastline, 85 km from the filling point to the seawall and 150 m deep. This is a 1h30 ride through the beautiful Alentejo landscape. Then we return to Lisbon through Évora, where we can see ancient monuments such as the Diana Temple, the Giraldo Square with its fountain and other places.
